I purchased it.... don't like the way it reverted to the all filters when you changed to snapshot B... you'd have thought it would have stayed on the mastering filter....small gripe but I hope they fix it... Looking forward to using this ...love all of Toontrack products 👍

What is the limit for image generation?

Session bass Player sounds total non natural. I´ve tried it. Don´t like it.

Some of it seems to kinda go out of tune...especially on "no more meltdowns" -- is that because the source vocal is sort of note-ambiguous ? Also, it would be great if they had a demo of this, 200 bucks is a lot when you aren't quite sure about something :-)

Vocal Aether and Edit should use samples per note. Its pitched too much when playing too far off of the original sampled note. VocoFlex looks interesting, though...

Hi Greg, I purchased Vocoflex and for some reason I'm not getting any sound out of it. Did you have an issue with this as well or am I doing something wrong?

Looks like you can read the chord in as midi data using the add chord dialogue, but only one chord at a time (!) ... which is, not super useful lol.

I would caution all on use of AI tools for vocals AND instrumentals, like Vocoflex and others as VSTs or online, and to use them only for prototyping if you care about reputation as a legit human artist. Vocoflex imprints their output stream with an indelible watermark regardless of whether it is your voice or fully synthesized. Other, if not all, AI tools will follow in adding watermarks as it becomes government mandate. If anyone declares that your music is AI and then checks for the watermark, they could then claim "you're nothing more than an AI artist! 😡", even if you used the AI tool as... only a tool... as you would any other production tool. However, in the case of AI tools that watermark their output, people will be quick to slander you as an "AI artist" and get others to dismiss you on that account. Don't get me wrong... I LOVE AI. In fact, I work in the field and don't see any way forward but to embrace AI. But that's because I am pro AI. Most people won't be, especially as job loss due to AI increases to a fever pitch. Be careful of how and when you use these tools, especially when publishing. Just an early warning.

I am very curious to see whether they will sell many licences. The idea of doing something about misuse is commendable, but the actual implementation is currently unusable for me. Some here have already pointed out that it's not clear who the partner actually is (I couldn't even find a postal address on their site), nor what the deal is with us storing copies of government documents somewhere permanently. - It would be better to simply include it as a preset-based effect in Synth V and then only apply it to licensed Synth V voices and skip the rest.

Amazingly cool and EXACTLY what I needed! I have Synth V Solaria and she's pretty recognizable ... with this, there are endless voices I can use now. Why buy another vocal pack like Sheena, Natalie, Kevin, etc.

I can not see or hear a key and chord follow function. So the harmony vocals have to be rendered and tweaked with melodyne or the like, then?

This is a really fun and useful tool. Used with Synthv and real vocals (I used some loops and recordings of myself) and with some tweaking and voice bank selection, it really adds a new layer of realism, and realistic imperfection to the vocals. Great overview Greg!

"AI" is a horribly vague term in general, to be arbitrarily applied to whatever feat people (or marketing people) find impressive. Not that long ago it was studiously avoided by anyone in the field. It'd be called machine learning, and when around 2010 they wanted a new term for specifically neural network based machine learning models, that could then finally have better rather than worse or at best same performance when they used more than one hidden layer, they used the term "deep learning", in the sense that they had a "deep" architecture, w more layers. But nowdays apparently decoder-only sequence to sequence language models are definitely called "AI", and text to image diffusion models are also definitely called "AI", so I guess anything using a neural network is getting called AI, as I don't know what else is a common factor here. So anyhow, yes -- if language models are AI, and diffusion models are AI, then synth V is as well, as that is using a neural net model to synthesize the voices as well. And I mean of course it would be, basically anything dealing with capturing or (re)creating complex, hard to specify patterns in the natural world data (sound, image, language, video etc) will likely be best modelled with some kind of neural net nowdays.

For pitch (gender), what works better? 1) The pitch (gender) slider WITHIN Synthesizer V, or 2) Running Synthesizer V through Vocoflex and changing the pitch slider there?
